The Kebun is hand down the best place you can stay in Sarawak. Why would you want to stay at a boring hotel in Kuching? At the Kebun we were looked after like royalty by Adrian and Jeneil, constantly delivered delicious food in abundance and loved navigating ourselves around the area in the car provided. With four fun-loving kids in tow, they unanimously agreed the best part of their trip to Sarawak were the dogs on the farm! We loved wandering around the seeing all the dedication and hard work Adrian has put into the property to make it what it is today. Beautiful tropical heleconias and orchids bloom in unexpected places too. Value for money too. We can't thank you guys enough to hosting us!

We just spent an excellent 8 nights at The Kebun at Adrian's bungalow. If you are looking for 5* luxury or a boutique hotel this is probably not for you. It is rural and rustic place, with lots of dogs and chickens (and yes, some mosquitoes), but it is a place of real character, and a perfect base for visiting the nearby parks. We thought it was incredibly good value for money. But it is the care and attention to detail from Adrian, Olivia and Jeneil that really makes the difference here. Fantastic home-cooked food delivered each evening, birthday cake provided for our daughter's birthday, lunchtime picnics on request, great recommendations of things to do, fresh towels every 2 days, good quality mosquito nets, a car with Garmin + preset locations that makes finding your way about a breeze, a detailed & genuinely helpful guidebook plus a phone with preset numbers of local guides. The owners have managed the perfect combination of laid-back informality, efficiency and attention to detail where it really counts. Jeneil was there to greet us and help with any request we had. Highly recommended.

Wanted to visit The Kebun for the longest time as we heard great reviews from a friend. Finally made it this year for my birthday!

We stayed at The Guest House, a nice little, self-contained house just right by the chill lounge. We were picked up at the airport and when we reached The Kebun, we were welcomed by lovely friendly dogs! There are cats at the chill lounge. Mama cat, sister cat and 2 very cute kittens. And Amanda at the Long House.

The entire estate is quite big. We were given a tour of the estate by Janelle, the manager. Olivia's bungalow, Adrian's bungalow, the Longhouse. Each is unique and full of character. The Kebun was the movie set of The Sleeping Dictionary, starring Jessica Alba and Bob Hoskins. It has since been lovingly maintained and improved by the owners.

The car is definitely a plus. We went to a totally isolated beach ... It was just fabulous! There are many other places of interest but we decided to just chill and hang around with the animals at The Kebun.

We were lucky to witness the birth of 8 cutie pie puppies!!! Definitely an unforgettable trip! Hope to be back to see the puppies soon. And next time, we will bring super strong insect repellent!

Thanks to Adrian, Olivia, Janelle, the staff, the doggies and kitties for a fabulous birthday holiday!

My partner and I stayed at the longhouse for 3 nights and thought it was a very cool experience, but were very glad we did not stay any longer. Perhaps because we stayed close to the low season, we felt we were a little neglected by the staff at times. We never met the owners, Adrian and Olivia, and when needed to get in touch with someone who worked there, we were told to call them on a Nokia hand phone they provided us. However, we did call on several occasions and our call was not answered. Sometimes we found it very difficult to communicate with the main staff member and so small things were miscommunicated.

Overall the atmosphere and ambiance was great but there was some revamping needed around the farm- for instance, it would be lovely if there were screens on the openings to the bedrooms to keep creepy crawlers out and also in the jungle bathroom (filled with bugs constantly).

The car with the room was super awesome and we loved the freedom to get around In it, but beware the cars are run down and a bit hard to operate at times.

Tip: bring LOTS of mosquito repellant! We had sooo many bites everywhere after 3 days. Also, bring your own snacks as they do not sell any on the farm and you may get peckish before meal times.
