Spent Chinese New Year weekend in Cyberview Lodge (2 nights) in the Exec Deluxe Chalet. We were looking for something peaceful & definitely got it here. Very lush, green grounds with ample parking & security. The room we had was massive, clean & comfy with a little balcony, living room & lil dining table. Bathroom was big too with rain shower, separate bathtub & toiletries from their spa. It is the sense of space that really grabs you at Cyberview, fr the grounds to the rooms.

Buffet breakfast was adequate but the dining hall's atmosphere was a tad dreary & dark. Had a dinner in their Italian restaurant that was little better in terms of atmosphere - great service with average food (pastas were so-so, the pizzas looked a bit more promising).

We had complimentary welcome drinks from the bar which we lingered over on our last night. The bar had a nice chilled-out vibe with seats overlooking the property's lush & expansive grounds. Only the pools didn't really appeal because they were in shades of olive & brown colour. I like my swimming pools blue.

Resort provides daily shuttle service to Alamanda Mall & once-a-day return shuttle to KLCC. The timimg intervals were not suitable for us so we just drove; Alamanda is a 15min drive away whilst KLCC is about 35mins away. Roads in KL were pretty quiet during the festive season so we had no traffic issues at all.

All in all, a very pleasant stay if you need a break from crowded, concrete city life.

Reception was okay. Friendly staff. Room was really huge and spacious. Very nice too with LCD TV. We got the room in front of the lake so I guess the mosquitos came from there. It wasn 't a problem though. Hotel food was pretty expensive so we went out driving looking for food. The only decent place we find was Old Town White Coffee house. I was not sure what I think of Cyberjaya when we first came. Almost like a ghost town. Noone around. Maybe we are at the wrong side of Cyberjaya? We were a bit frustrated because we were hunting for pharmacies to get some stuffs for our son with diarhea- but could not find any pharmacy around. Even clinics are closed. Asked people around..they do not know too. Went to a place where there might be a pharmacy and was led to a dark place. We did not like the hotel food. Fried chicken that came with fried rice (to our room) tasted like being refried many times as it was really dry. The pool did not look clean. This place is okay for those who really want to be isolated there really is nothing to do in the resort itself-maybe you can play golf if you are a golf player. But that part of the town was really a dead town-and quiet. It was nice and beautiful but just plain dead.

My friend and I stayed there for 2 nights. We checked-in on Friday. Greeted by the helpful front desk team. We were given the lakeside room. We requested for the pool view but full. But it was a good decision. The lakeside probably the best room for us. Quiet and calm. Just what we need.

The room was huge and spacious. The king size bed was so comfy, I hate to wake up in the morning. There's a huge LCD tv right in front of the bed with plenty of channels. There's even a DVD player as well.

There's a huge and nice wooden working desk complete with sockets for laptop. I did bring along my laptop but kept it in the safe box coz it's supposed to be holiday. Not working day But the wooden working table is fantastic for working from the room.

Wifi? Full bar without need to login or pay. Awesome!

The view? Magnificent. Our balcony overlooking the beautiful lake. If you love fishing, you get the fishing gear from the front desk and fish.

The bathroom? Absolutely gorgeous! The shower is a very high quality shower with hot water. Plenty of soaps, shampoo...almost everything you need. The toilet is muslim-friendly with water hose besides it. Thanks for that. (Marriot Putrajaya, learn from Cyberview).

Buffet breakfast? Plain and ok. Yes, plenty of choices but quite tasteless. Nasi lemak was ok. Potato wedges...urgghh. Scramble egg...plain. The only thing we like were the cereals coz there's plenty of choices. Yay for that! For breakfast spread, please learn from Putrajaya Marriot.

The pool? Well, you can practically wear anything in the pool coz it's made from stone. Murky water probably coz of the texture. But overall experience, ok. We only use the pool once coz the pool not so attractive. But we love the hammock!

Night life? Hmm...not much. There's no live band. Quiet time around the hotel. There's a small game room.

Check-out experience, good. Very helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay there.

Only two bad experiences:

1. During phone call to book a room, I spoke in Malay and was told there was no room available. Called back later at night and pretend to speak with English accent, there's plenty of room to choose from.

2. Breakfast on day two. No one bother to set our table. Call one of the waiter, only brought one serviette. We have to get our spoon and forks ourself. Totally spoiled my mood coz I have to raise my voice to get their attention.

Both incident above...only word appear in my mind. Racist? I hope not. Please explain.

Room Tip: Go for lakeside room for quiet time.

We went for a 3D2N stay.

The good things:

1. We love the surrounding, environment, cleanliness & most of the friendly staff. The kids loved the pool & the garden as they could play in front of our junior suite.

2. Breakfast spread was okay. I personally love the crab stick porridge.

3. We ordered pizza for dinner twice & we loved it!

4. I even went to the spa. If you have the time, you should try the spa out. I give them 9/10 marks.

5. We rode on the buggy for a few times, the staff were very friendly.

6. Check in & check out were smooth. We feel very welcomed.

7. The bed & pillows were heavenly.

The (minor) things that can be improved

1. We asked for 2 extra towels & had to call 4 times before they finally sent us the towels. It was ridiculous.

2. The local staff in Verandah (where we had our breakfast) should learn to smile.

I stayed here with my fiancee last year, actually it was 3 days before new year and he was missing me, and the only hotel I could think of in Cyberjaya (I work there) is Cyberview Lodge (it is anything but a lodge!)

Mind you that the room rates are expensive and they start at Rm350++ so with tax our room came up to RM471. The receptionist was nice and friendly but the bus buy refused to carry our bags to the room, instead he told us to drive and park our car there. I was like wat? Why can't we just walk to it? Then after receiving the room key and map, we realised that the whole place has hotel rooms that were built as chalet and villas, so each block had about 3 rooms and the size of one room is 10 king size bed combined. Really, this is no joke. The rooms were exquisite. Our room had a four posted gigantic bed and white curtains. There were lazy chairs out in the verandah overlooking the man-made lake and it was nice and windy to relax and drink at night. We were ALLOWED to park our car ON THE GRASS! And there is a fully functional kitchen as well as a partially stocked minibar. The tv was a 42 inch LCD screen and the flooring were treated wood. We had a small room that connects to the room next door but it was closed so I suppose in case there's family who requests for adjoined rooms, this room can be transformed into that.

Next to the bed, on the side table were two small cubes of green paper, upon unwrapping it were the lodge logo imprinted into edible chocolate and let me tell you this, to the untrained eye, it just looks like two squares of green paper folded into a triangle. Everything in this room was tasteful and requires closer inspection. We even had a WRITING table with papers, envelopes, pens and pencils stacked for our use

Now the shower, while we didn't have a bath, we had a great shower head with strong water, the only thing that put me off was that the water kept running cold after a few mins (even after we turned on the heater) The dressing table had a small box, which releaved among other things:

toothpaste and toothbrush
a comb
shaver
sewing kit
several sanitary plastic bags
shower cap
2 hand soaps
2 face towels

and three ceramic canisters of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel

and 2 huge towels

In the cupboard:
an iron and an ironing board
2 bathrobes

we received breakfast vouchers and 2 free drink vouchers

We also had a lounge in the room. generally, we loved it. And guess what? I was too drunk and threw up in the night, so we rolled and moved all the sheets aside. I was embarrassed when we checked out and forgot all about it until mid day when the hotel called to ask if we were missing any jewellery and card in the room. My fiancee rubbed his neck and sure enough his GOLD chain was missing!!! They had found that, as well as his Qatar Airways miles card, and my La Senza undie!!

When he went back to collect it, he wanted to tip the girl who found it in the room but she was off duty so he requested for an envelope, put in RM150 and passed it to the receptionist. The next day, we received 4 calls from an unknown number and when he picked up it was the housekeeping girl whom thanked him profusely over the phone.

Now you tell me, where can u get service as HONEST and AWESOME as this? We had a great experience staying there and it was worth all the money we paid!!

I would recommend room 163, we stayed there. The rooms next to us didn't have canopy-four-poster bed!!

Room Tip: ask for room 162, 163 and 164, rooms are huge

We stayed here during the long National Day weekend. The place is great for a family. There are 3 pools joint together and the middle pool is quite large. The kids enjoyed the pool tremendously. The rooms were also quite nice, but the air condition did not seem to function very well. The only thing missing was a bath tub - maybe its because we took the deluxe chalet. Its nice just to walk around the place - lots of trees.

There was a kids room, but nothing much seemed to be happening there.

Foodwise, unless you are prepared to eat at the hotel for all meals, there is nothing much around the hotel. You would need to drive out - and you can find KFC, Old Town White coffee and some local mamak shops.

Its a good, nearby place to go if you are looking for a quick getaway from the city and want to just laze at the hotel as there arent any nearby attractions.
