The Muzeum Negari Complex is a few km outside of KT. It has a large parking lot and several areas. The largest is a huge concrete Malay style bunker which houses several floors of interesting displays. You pay admission to go in to this building. We were only interested in the external displays of old Malay architecture and the seafaring exhibits which were all external and open air set up along the river way. It was hot and humid going but we really enjoyed it. The signboards were in both Malay and English and quite informative. There were several examples of housing from simple fishing huts to wooden palaces, and several examples of boats from dug-out canoes to large sea faring boats - some structures and boats you can even go into. Surprisingly we didn't have to pay to enjoy these external exhibits. Recommended for a slice of Malay cultural history.
