I stayed here with my Mum for a week - in separate rooms. The resort was beautifully maintained with lovely gardens and pools. It is located right on the beach.

Pros:
- the rooms were beautifully decorated and perfect for the climate.
- the pools are beautiful.
- the staff are very friendly
- they have a lovely, musical fire ceremony each night.

Cons:
- the food wasn't at the standard we expected of a five star hotel.
- the dolphin and glass bottom boat ride was not worth the time. It takes you to an area with many, many other boats trying desperately to chase and find the poor pod of dolphins.
- prior to our arrival we asked to be in adjacent rooms with connecting doors in a quiet area (as I was pregnant and having difficulty sleeping). We were assured this would happen. On arrival we were told that we were in rooms that were a few rooms apart (not adjoining) and right next to the lift. Although the hotel wasn't full, they told us that we could not be moved.
- pool aerobics was held in the mornings - apparently this required very, very loud music blasting through the resort and disturbing the peace and tranquility.

Stayed here in Jan for our 10th anniversary & took our 3 year old daughter along. Hotel was running on full occupancy so didn't get the room which I requested close to the main pool despite upgrading to a newer Grand Deluxe Room in advance. However, I was moved 3 days later with the assistance of Vic who was very pleasant. Thankfully we did the upgrade as the renovated rooms are much fresher & pleasant. Views of the ocean are also amazing. The ladies at the front desk were rude and never smiled & judging by previous reviews, this is nothing new so Hilton take note as we are choosing to spend our money here & do not appreciate their attitude.

We were on the half-board package which is a must as food is generally expensive in the resort and the nearest outside food is 2-3 kms away. Breakfast & Dinner was great with amazing service from Sivom & Dillon as well as Patrick who happens to be the food and beverage manager. Amazing dessert & a few decent shows after dinner at the clubhouse. We had lunch on a few occassions from the poolside restaurant which was nice but highly priced.

A shocking fact was that the resort only provides 2 x small bottles of water on check-in so ensure you buy plenty of bottled water prior to check-in (there are supermarkets on the way to the resort) as water is very expensive at the resort.

We spent 3-4 hours daily in the brilliant main pool which has an adjoining kids pool. The amazing infinity pool is for adults only but definitely worth a sunset swim. Tennis courts and Kids club were both excellent with plenty for the little one to do. The beach has lots of coral and stones so I would not recommend it for swimming but excellent to laze around and get a tan.

Had a prolonged issue with the AC which was cooling irregularly but Rodley and his team sorted this out after a few calls. A shout out to Ved and his team as well from the house-keeping team.

All in all it was a relaxing 7 days and we will be back. This resort is well maintained and is value for money if booked in advance.

Room Tip: Book the newly renovated Grand Deluxe room if possible.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton beautifully landscaped and manicured resort from Jan 9 to Jan 20. During the course of our stay, we connected with many members of their staff, from the hardworking lady gardeners, concierge staff, bar tenders, the pretty ladies serving and working at the restaurants, the hostesses at the reception area, the sound engineers, the entertainment staff, to management. The latter should be so lucky to have such diligent accommodating staff. They always bear a smile and greet you with the heartwarming gesture bringing their hand to their hearts. How they continue to smile in spite of their intense schedule is mind boggling. Once again, Hilton management should be so proud of them. They are the reason we come back to Hilton.
We were on half board, with breakfast and dinner. Under the direction of French chef Stephane, sous-chef Mike and his team, bfast catered to all tastes, from the freshly squeezed orange juice, cereals, fruits, eggs, salads, pastries to hot dishes. Dinner at the buffet was delicious, with a daily theme from the local creole menu, garden, Italian, Chinese etc, and you could always find an ethnic dish for the more conservative guests, with desserts being the icing on the cake. In lieu of buffet for dinner, you could opt for the Thai Resto, once again with delicious dishes or you could eat at their gastronomic small café on the beach. Make sure to phone for a reservation ahead of time. After supper, you can always go by the beach and listen to or dance to the live band. Great ambiance.
During our stay, we hosted a party for 40 relatives at the Thai restaurant and could not have been more pleased with the excellent service and food. We also watched a wedding on the beach and would highly recommend this very romantic venue for your special day.
Daily aquatic activities are free and plentiful; we were treated to a great spectacle of playful dolphins with thrilled snorkellers on one of our outings.
If we had to make suggestions, we would say to add a bathroom in the lounging areas close to their new infinity pool and the Hibiscus bar. We also found the wine very pricy at the restaurants. Also, a complimentary water bottle daily in our room would be a perk.
If we had to nominate staff members for their incessant smiles, friendliness, charm and dedicated service, the list would be too long. We particularly thank Patrick Baboulin, Pooven, Bethanie, Sophie, Jannick, Sinchia, Mike, Kapeel, Sivom, Pooja, Dinesh, our gifted bar tender, Darmen, Wenda, Leaven, Kunal, Pelagie, Queency, Mike Bagwa, Kavish, Suresh the head concierge, and our three very special ladies, delightful Charonne from the bar, lovely Maria from réception, and talented Babita our room maid for her beautiful towel animals.
M Dominique Dmytrysyn, the director, should be so proud of all his employees. Thank you, Sir, for also meeting with us to hear what we had to say about your hotel,

Room Tip: Deluxe grand rooms with ocean view are the best, but regardless, the amenities are close by and so is the beach .

1/11 in the Mediterranean restaurant during the meal suddenly rain, repeatedly with the waiter reflected no solution, can only eat in the rain, but fortunately, the rain stopped 1/13 checkout, the front desk will be other people's consumption in our room, after we produce the invoice in case of correction, if I did not keep the invoice is not to pay for the wrong bill? Please improve your service, thank you.

Dear Jing X,

Thank you for your feedback on TripAdvisor and the Hilton online survey.

We apologise we were not able to provide you with the quality of services you deserve. The incidents you described at the restaurant about the rain and at the reception for the final bill are uncharacteristic of our hotel and team. Please rest assured we are always looking for ways to improve our customer experience and we will discuss same with our team to ensure these shortfalls do not reoccur in the future.

Again, we thank you for your comment and we hope you will consider staying with us again.

Kind regards
Dominique Dmytryszyn

A little overpriced but safe and clean. Excellent wi-fi connection. Breakfast buffet could have more variety in the hot section. Please provide guests with at least 1 free bottled water / person / day.
