Great location in walking distance to all attractions. Staff were friendly and showed me around the town but I have a feeling that's because I was a solo female. But it was nice non the less.

Private room was ok, the bed was comfortable though the ensuite shower wasn't very clean.

No sign of the healthy breakfast which is why I booked this place. No yoga classes either.

Ok for a night.

We only stayed one night and wished we could stay longer. We didn't do any surfing, but we really felt like home in the hostel. The staff is just amazing. Welcomes you warmly and treats you like their friends. We cooked dinner together, went for a walk and it was really nice! Had an amazing time! Totally recommendable :)

We stayed here for 9 days and it was just amazing. They arranged surf trips with everthing included (transport, rental of board and wetsuit and lunch). The hostel also serves breakfast for 2 euro's per person a day, and it's good value for your money, you'll get bread, marmelade, eggs, coffee, tea, milk and some pieces of fruit for that price.

The private room we rented was also your moneys worth, it's a room with a double bed and a private shower. We'll definitely come back for another vacation at this hostel in Essaouira.

As an extra added bonus, the hostel has a rooftop terras that's really big and where you can enjoy the company of the other hostel guests if you want to. Big plus is that's always sunny on the terras.

Room Tip: best hostel for surfing in Essaouira.

Surf & chill is a great hostel to stay when you're in Essaouira. They serve a delicious breakfast up on the roof terrace. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds have the best sheets in town!! Very friendly and helpfull staff as well. I would highly recommend this place for your stay. It's way better than the other well rated hostels in town.

It was amazing to stay at the surf & chill hostel! Our room was clean, it has a homey feel to it and the staff was very helpful. They helped us find the way, booked a hammam for us, showed us around and where very kind. You had the option of eating breakfast or not, so you don't have to pay for anything you don't use. The breakfast was really good though, better than the average Moroccan breakfast, it included fruit and a variety of jellies. The hostel was small enough so that you knew everybody that was staying there :) ps I didn't do any surfing but definitely a lot of chilling on their beautiful roof top terraces!
