We visited Pic Nic several times during the nineties. It was often crowded with UN staff, NGOs and politicians. Reservation was necessary. This time we were the only guest on a Sunday evening. Somewhat scaring. However the food and service is still outstanding! We had tiger prawns and caramel puddin. Plenty of Portuguese and South Africa wines to choose from. The restaurant offers a rewarding break from the busy beach restaurants with loud music. Recommended.

I've been to many restaurants in Mozambique from the north to the south, this is the best one in my experience!
There is nothing for "outside view" but inside is really nice with warm and luxurious atmosphere. It's a little bit small but i just love it!
You will be served like a real big guest! The waiters will care for you with anything, they always smile, Totally different from many other restaurants here! Price here is reasonable for its service.
Highly recommend for tourists to Beira!

On the outside it may look like a filthy place but as soon as you enter you are welcomed with smiles and great service, it felt if im back in RSA. the food is fantastic, well priced and the drinks are ice cold.

the atmosphere were fantastic with music playing in the back ground and will definitely go there again before i leave for south africa on sunday.

please note that this restaurant is not open till late and need to be there for an early dinner.

thank you for the opportunity i had to have a great experience and food at your place.

I have never eaten such magnificent prawns as the ones served in the Pic Nic. 3 prawns was the serving but only 2 could fit on a plate at one time. Once you finished one the waiter would come and remove the shell and bring another. It has been some time since I was there but I am convinced it is still the best in Beira.

Had a business lunch at Pic-NIc. Great Portuguese steak and good variety on the menu. Service is good. Decor maybe a bit old and could be do with a make over. Still a nice venue to do lunch.
