Nice cafe very similar to these in Greece. You can find here, Greek and Greek style coffees, sweets, light dishes and drinks. Apart from the friendly staff you can listen to Greek music and watch a football (soccer) match such as champion's league.

this place has been here in Astoria for as long as i can remember, it is located at a very busy strip, the Broadway.

parking here is a very challenging thing but do not be discouraged cause it is most definitely worth it.

this is a very greek spot, the decor is amazing and well arranged, they have many types of coffe drinks to sped hours and hours here.

there is a vast desert counter that you will probably need some major compromising to make a decision as there are so many choices that one may not be enough.

i have always come here for the sweets and the coffe. i also know that some liquor and beer are available here, in the summer theres a outside curb sitting that they close it in the winter, so the drinks and sweets are here to stay.

to my surprise this week i was told that they also make regular dinner items here! i was never aware of that so as soon as i found out i needed to come and try it out!

we came in to eat and this is besides the review but i saw one of the pretties waiters i have ever seen, which is a bonus (but not a matter to give or take stars) he served us very well and he was pretty friendly.

now for the food:

- CAPPUCCINO - i needed to have it! their coffe drinks are amazing here, it is a definite must.

- TURKEY BURGER AND CHEESE - this meal came with fries, i orderer the safest thing i could think about, however i regretted it, the meal was real dry and tasteless, i would not recommend this sandwich if you come over.

- PENNE A LA VODKA AND SHRIMP - now this was not my food, however i ended up eating this from my friends plate, this is was the BEST penne a la vodka that i have eve had! absolute must! i am a cheese lover and generally love to have parmesan in all my pastas, for the first time in my life the cheese did not even pass through my mind. i ate from her plate non stop i could not get over how delicious this pasta was.

as i said they have plenty of deserts and it is very hard to choose just one, so we went with 4 different types of cheesecake.

- BAKLAVA - this was a good cheesecake, however the baklava on top was too hard so we made a mess to cut this at every bite was a bit of a fight with the cheesecake.

- OREO - this one was pretty good, you cant ruin oreo things so....

- RED VELVET - another classic that you need to try really hard to ruin it.

- PEANUT BUTTER CHEESECAKE - this one was not my favorite but i can see that if you are a peanut lover this is the cake for you.

another amazing thing about this place is that it offers the yelp cash back, so if you eat here make sure to pay with your yelp linked card so you can take advantage of the cash back!

i definitely will come back here as soon as possible to have more of that penne a la vodka.

This place is a cafe and a store in one. We went there after a brunch for coffee and sweets, but were thoroughly disappointed. The ekmek kadaif was stale, and had no taste. The kadaif underneath the cream was so dry, you wouldn't know they had any syrup there.

The ladies room in the basement is terribly small, and had three stalls, two of them were overflown, dirty all over the seats, and not flushed. There were several ladies waiting cramped for that one relatively clean bathroom. How can a food establishment have toilets in such disorder is beyond my understanding! I did tell the waitress that their bathrooms were in a disastrous shape.

And we had to wait over half hour for the cashier to take our money! Instead of having someone work the cash register for the store section only, (which is pretty busy on the weekends with walk in patrons), and another to help with cafe business, they have just one young angry lady doing both. She has to prepare coffee for the cafe patrons, mind the store register and take orders. And she is so visibly frustrated with that, that she is taking it out on the customers with her rude attitude.

Not worth the trip, there are many other places in Astoria with better service, better baked goods, and hopefully cleaner bathrooms!

Dropped by after dinner looking for some nice desserts, tea and coffee and wasn't disappointed. Enjoyed everything we ordered and the people watching too.
