The trail can be much more intresting to walk when it would be provided with information about what's there to see.
Otherwise you just see some ruïnes and left and right an old brick.
Although i understand that there's not much to see in Salalah, then make sure that what there is to see, is worth it.

The museum is quite intresting, provides a lot of information and is well decorated on the inside. The museum i would definitely visit again.

Nice place where you can go around walking or by golf carts. After that you can take a tour in the electrical boat around the historical city.
The picture attached is for a new resturant on the side of the Baleed

It basically has 2 parts. One the internal knowlage about the ships history. (Photography not allowed there)
Other is the external urban architecture land.

It's so huge walking all the way will be just too much. So you can get a ride for 5 OR which will take u around the whole space.

Note-
Nearby there are coconut and banana stalls - make sure u try that before visiting this

It is interesting to see how the tree grows and how they harvest the frankincense. The views through the mountains and windy roads are fantastic. Camels abound, very friendly and clean!

I loved Oman and hope to return for a longer trip. I travelled by long distance bus and hired a car in Salalah.
