inexpensive food and fast friendly service in this Turkish restaurant run by friendly staff. Whether take away or a sit down meal, don't forget to have some traditional baclava with either Turkish tea or khave - you will not be disappointed

We ordered an plate of mixed grill. The lamp chops were well done and hummus was too good i had to order another plate. The interior are not too modern but the food was good.

The cooks are Turkish, thank goodness - unlike a certain downtown restaurant which has been taken over by Indians and employes non-Turkish cooks.. You will find almost any dish you can remember if you have visited or worked in Turkey, not only Istanbul but other regional fare such as Iskender kebab (not a 'kebab' in the Western understanding but a dish of meat covered in oil, hot sauce and yoghurt). The moutabel and baba ghanoush are especially good. Also on offer are lahmacun and several pasta dishes stuffed with soft cheese and spinach. Desserts are the usual fare - mostly filo pastry filled with nuts and drizzed with 'honey' (or liquefied sugar). Sadly, 'dondurma' - famous thick honey-based ice cream - is not available. Decent prices and very good Turksih coffee.
