Upon check-in the receptionist phoned the shuttle to let the driver know we had arrived. Apparently they were expecting us and the driver was still waiting at the airport to pick us up! I asked why we hadn't been informed that there would be free shuttle service, and the receptionist said that they didn't have our number. I believe I left this information upon booking our stay through a major online hotel-booking agency. Anyway, we weren't expecting to be picked up and had already arrived, so it was fine. It would just have been nice avoid paying 250php for the yellow taxi ride from the airport to Goldberry. **TIP: call the hotel and clarify if you will be picked up!**

The staff was super friendly and the room, super big! I don't know if this is true of all the rooms at Goldberry, but ours was pretty interesting. Here's why. There is no door between the sleeping area and the restroom. They are fully connected and someone could totally walk in while you were in the middle of making a fragrant deposit! Also, there is a glass partition separating the sleeping area from the shower. If you wanted to, you could literally pull up the blinds while showering and put on a show for someone lying on bed! Haha, this type of room would definitely not work for you and your guest unless you two were super close.

Breakfast was served by the cafe next door. You select from various plated dishes from a menu. Was mediocre at best.

No gym. Would have loved for there to have been one.

Funky elevator. You have to press the floor number really hard for it to work!

Free ride back to the airport. :)

Room tip: Make sure your room and its restroom have a door separating them, if that's important to you!

This is a quite new hotel but I found there problems that shouldn't exist.
Check in process took 30 minutes as they couldn't find the online reservation, bathroom has no lock on the door, when you take a shower the water will flow all over the CR and wet the floor even you would place a towel there. Breakfast with this expensive hotel was literally 1 egg, 2 slices of bacon and 2 breads and a coffee.

You will have better quality to your money on the Bellavista Hotel at the opposite side of the street even though it's an older hotel already.

A well-maintained hotel if you are going to flying in to mactan/cebu before heading to your final destination. Very close to the airport, less than 8 minutes with the complimentary airport shuttle. Such service is not always free from bigger resorts and hotels which are further away from the airport. The only little problem we experienced is the bathroom. The shower floor is not properly separated from the rest of the bathroom which resulted in flooding of the whole bathroom when taking a shower. They easily solve this by putting a minimal dremple to hold the water. Then also need a better cover for the drainage to make sure the smell would not leak. The people working were a bunch of lovely friendly people more than willing to talk and reach out to the guests needs. The wifi is not so great in our room. Very patchy but then, it seems to be a national problem in the Philippines. All wifi or 3g connections are slow and not reliable. I only experience true fast internet inside the MActan International airport. The price is also very reasonable for the services they offer.

Goldberry was perfect for our late arrival to Cebu. We took the white cab, which is supposed to be the expensive cab but only cost a few dollars, and were there within 10 minutes. There is no view and no resort feel but we didn't need that. It's a 5 minutes jitney ride from "marina mall" that has all we needed including restaurants and pharmacy. The wifi is good and the staff is delightful! And the beds and linens are wonderful!

This was a good hotel to stay with near at the airport..there was a small glitch with our reservation but they gave us an upgraded room with living room and balcony for free..bed is so comfortable and room was big,but my boyfriend notice how the staff clean the room..1 of them wipe our used towel in the bathroom before putting it to the laundry(not so hygienic ) but Staff we're friendly, security guard was so helpful everytime we need taxi :)..dont bother your self for a free breakfast coz no choices and very little serving...but all in all i enjoyed our stay here..
