Our room and bathroom were both spacious and clean, with a welcome basket of fruit on arrival. The owners Adrian and Claudia are delightful hosts, very helpful and attentive which was much appreciated at our 4:00am departure. Good location, walking distance to centre of town, restaurants and our walking tour meeting point.

Staying at Villa-Hotel Escala was a great start to our two week trip to Romania. Adrian kindly stayed up until the early hours to greet us from our delayed flight from UK. We had a lovely spacious and spotlessly clean room. The bowl of fruit in the room was greatly appreciated. The three breakfasts we had were delicious-a little variation each morning. But the highlight of this stay was the wealth of information we gained from Adrian and Claudia. They helped us plan each day and answered our many questions. And then to top it all they forward some medications we had left in the fridge! Excellent hospitality and Cluj is a great place to visit.

The couple, Claudia and Adrian are the highlight of this property. It is a lovely place, with great amenities and a superb breakfast. We had a lovely two nights, we were lucky to stay at a place with such friendly owners. They were genuinely concerned with our trip and gave us wonderful recommendations. The location was awesome, just a fifteen minute walk to the main church (where we did a free walking tour) and not far at all from a gorgeous park above the city that has amazing views! Would love to stop in and say hello in the future :) Thanks for a great stay!
