Hotel escala is not a very nice place to stay the photos are outdated and the hotel is nothing like it’s being advertised.The hotel itself smells of damp and cats urine the gardens are overgrown and the furniture is rotten.The host Adrian is not a very nice person and only after one thing and that’s money always trying to scam money off you our experience at the escala was a total nightmare and I would not recommend anyone to stay there I have put up reviews and had them taken down some how I will keep on posting reviews as I would not want anyone to experience what we did in our stay.

We stayed here for two nights, and we took various tours from Cluj. Our host, the owner of the hotel, Mr. Adrian, was very kind. The room was immaculate and a nice view. Everything was perfect, especially the breakfast with a large variety to choose... It can be a good option for your stay in Cluj Napoca.

Our room and bathroom were both spacious and clean, with a welcome basket of fruit on arrival. The owners Adrian and Claudia are delightful hosts, very helpful and attentive which was much appreciated at our 4:00am departure. Good location, walking distance to centre of town, restaurants and our walking tour meeting point.
