We visited Gorky Park at the beginning of April. As with many of Moscow’s parks, a large area of the park was undergoing maintenance and being made ready for Summer. We visited Garage for a really good lunch in a modern multi purpose building. There is, we understand, a resident cat though I regret we didn’t meet him.

Almost all of the facilities are closed (March/April 2018) so there is nothing you can do here, apart from walking around the park.

I grew up on a heavy dose of rock and heavy metal. One rock ballad left a lasting impression..the song - winds of change, by scorpions...it went something like " follow the Muscuva, down to Gorky park, listening to the winds....of change"...the first trip to moscow would not have been complete without a trip to thw Gorky park.
Yes, it was not snow covered, but spectacular none the less...
Best place is Moscow. Trust me on this one.

The weekend is the time to go to see the sights, and the purchase of pictures is available direct from the artists. The statues present condition shows who the Soviets like and do not like at present.
