“I'd stay there again”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

I think this hotel rates a solid 4/5 -- not quite 5/5, but definitely 4/5. It's located a bit over a mile from Red Square, which is very convenient if the weather's nice and you don't mind a walk. The hotel's construction is super-solid: you can run down the halls and your footsteps are whisper-quiet, without the echoes you hear with modern construction.

We got a good rate when staying here because the management gives a discount to families in Russia. That's us. We got a two-room suite which was really impressive- tall ceilings, a wide living room, huge bathroom, and overall pretty comfortable.

The few annoyances were pretty minor: the elevators were tiny and slow, the internet's expensive, temperature control in the rooms was a bit spotty, that kind of thing.

The (included) morning breakfast buffet was just great. We ate at the restaurant and got room service more than once for dinner, and it was good but pricy. Front desk staff was helpful and knowledgable.

Overall, I think it's probably a pretty good combination of location, price, and quality for Moscow.

Fab location next to the Metro and near the Airport Express Train station.

Rooms a little tired. Breakfast was nice even though it seemed like it was underground in a dungeon.

Service typically Russian, abrupt.

Arrival and greeed well. Two of us on business, both rooms were of reasonably quality for the monies paid. My colleaugue had problems wih the internet and the girl omn the reception was very helpful, but the quality of customer service varied with who was on and who could speak English. Chap was very helpful on the left luggage.

We also had a bad incident on a taxi not turning up, booked via reception - when we could have gone one outside and got one - which we eventually had to. Made us late for a very important meeting..

The towels in the room were not the softest I have ever used.

Breakfast starts at 07.30 which is a little late for some business travellers that need to get to a meeting through the Moscow Traffic. Breakfast is served in the adjacemt " Radio City" sports bar - linked to hotel. This is open 24 hours so can be handy if you want a late beer.Appeared to be girls drinking beer at 7.30 in the morning!

Good central position - You could do a lot worse in Moscow!

Occupying one of Stalin's skyscrapers this hotel offers great rates and a convenient location. Red Square is in walking distance (20 mins) but the hotel is right next to a Metro station if you can't be bothered. We didn't eat here at all except that we did use the little coffee shop attached to the hotel, which offered good value pastries and coffee. There are lots of great restaurants close by - I'd recommend the Patio for informal Italian and the best chance of an English speaking server. Rooms are spacious and ours had evidently been recently refurbished, demonstrated by the curtains still having creases. Staff are friendly and there is generally someone who speaks English on reception. Free wi-fi in the lobby.

We booked this hotel through InTourist. It was clean, centrally located and right opposite the Metro station.
We had a large room, good bathroom and breakfast was fine.
Service was friendly.

Room Tip: If you want a quieter away from traffic noise room we were told to ask for a courtyard room.

Have stayed here for 3 times and the location is the main benefit. Its just 10 min walk to Beloruskaya train station and the Expresstrain to Sheremetyevo International Airport. The hotel is old, but clean with the old "communism" in the walls. The hotel has a nice atmosphere. The Radio City restaurant at the hotel offer free WiFi and breakfast is served there. The food is OK and they have a intenseive croud and live music sometimes. I will come back to this hotel at my next visit!

This hotel is located almost nearly in the center of Moscow. I could go anywhere in Moscow very easily. Rooms are somehow big and clean. And also staffs of this hotel were very kind to me. The Chinese restaurant is located at the 2nd floor and very nice taste. I'll stay here again when I visit Moscow infuture.
