This is my second time staying at this hotel. The girls all speak very good English, wonderful breakfast. Make sure add breakfast when you book your room. Make sure to bring your toothbrush and toothpaste. Clean room. Looking forward to come back again.

Location overlooks the horse racing course. Quiet convenient location.
Rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff speak good English and are very helpful.
Restaurant is open 24 hers and serves good quality food, main courses on their own are a little small but you can always add something to them.
Supermarket within easy walking distance. Free wifi with a good connection.
No mini bar which was a shame...

The Bega is an older Soviet era hotel in very good condition. The main reception area is well staffed and all of the staff at the front desk spoke some English. It ranges from excellent to poor. Check in is at 3pm, but we arrived at 930 am from the airport and they managed to get us in a room quickly to get some much needed rest.

It is about a 20 minute walk to the Moscow Metro, Begovaya station. We didn't walk much in the neighborhood surrounding the hotel. There is not much there to see as far as tourist attractions or interesting buildings. It is a typical Moscow commercial neighborhood. I felt the area was safe and didn't have any fear walking back-and-forth from the metro at all hours.

Furnishings and decor at the Bega Hotel were dated, but in great shape. Our room was small, by western standards, but they made very good use of space. A desk and two chairs, a wardrobe cabinet and a room safe came in the room. The 2 twin beds were on the firmer side, but comfortable. The linens were fresh, crisp, and clean. The room itself was like the rest of the hotel, extremely clean and well maintained. I have a serious allergy issue and am highly susceptible to dust and mold. I had no problems in this hotel due to the cleanliness. The bathroom was a good size with a stand-up shower tub combination. The bathroom could use some more shelving or counter space for toiletries.

I never could figure out how to operate the thermostat in the room, but it turned out to be a non-issue as the room temperature was perfect the entire time we were here. The outside temperature was between 40 and 50° during our stay. Our fifth floor room came with a balcony and a wonderful view of the harness racing track behind the hotel.

Breakfast comes with the room and the breakfast food was plentiful and delicious. It is served in the hotel restaurant. Lots of traditional Russian food as well as some western favorites. It is buffet style with unlimited quantities. Service was good during breakfast as well. In addition, the restaurant is open 24 hours per day.

If you are looking for a nice hotel from Soviet era with excellent service, very clean, and has a good restaurant, then this is your place.

Really enjoyed my stay there. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. I would recommend to ask for the room with the Hippodrome view - that's really worthwhile. WiFi was very stable and speedy. Nothing really to complain about.

I stayed in this hotel because of it's close proximity with the city center. The rooms are big and the staff is very nice. The hotel is located next to the hippodrome (horse race track). Stay here if you get a good deal.
