After arriving late with Southern China and missing our connection, we were in lineups for almost 2 hours with inexperienced young China Southern staff, then put in a holding area with dozens of other passengers waiting to arrange connection alternatives. Extrememly frustrating, no one spoke English or even attempted to communicate with us. Finally in the 3rd hour at the airport (it's now 2 am) a women motioned my husband and I to follow her (only us and not other passengers). We were ushered into a mini van and arrived at this hotel with a dingy lobby, exteremely dirty carpets, mildewy and dirty shower. The bed seemed clean so we got 2 hours rest, then back at the airport, found all staff, China Southern and others very unfriendly and non-communicative. Non-Chinese languages not found here. Oh yes, the bagged breakfast included a tetra pack of milk, 2 sweet buns and 2 sweet breads that stuck on my throat and seemed to choke me for a few hours. It was horrid.
