The journey 4hrs ride is a bit long for me, would try the bamboo boat the next time around, just 2hrs from Yandi to xingping. No need to face the staff in the boat trying to sell their dishes and sourveniers.

Not enough variety. The menu was hilarious! (Ask for the English menu for a laugh)

If there is no other choice, OK - but better avoid it...

We arrived into Guilin at 10pm so our hotel's restaurant had already closed. The concierge recommended this place, but once we saw it we decided against it. Unfortunately there were no alternatives, other than an uninspiring "European" restaurant. This place has (dirty) plastic tablecloths and everything is pretty basic. We stuck to the local food rather than the pizza or other Western food, and it was fine. Overall a basic restaurant that I would normally avoid, but the food was fine.

Don't let the doinky name fool you. This place was very good. However, please skip the endangered species on the menu. Also ask for the non waiguoren prices and menu.
