This hotel is very comfortable and well run, with a good buffet breakfast and restaurant that is a good introduction to China for the timid. The air seems to be filtered which was welcome during a smog event.

There is very little around the hotel and it is quite distant from the historic centre of Xi'an by public transport.

The WiFi was sufficiently fast for work with the usual problems of internet connections in China.

The desk staff didn't really speak English but generally tried to help with phone apps if they could.

There are certainly many worse domestic 4-star hotels and this one is not bad, but it lacks charm and charisma. The rooms are modern and comfortable. No obvious problems with dirt. However, the hotel has no discernible facilities - a gym and beauty salon are listed, but both were closed at 9pm when I visited. Smoking is rather common in public areas. Internet speed is OK though I could not connect to a VPN.

Room Tip: Check that the windows shut properly if you want to avoid street noise

This hotel looked like the pictures...which isn't always the case. Clean and fairly hassle free. Some of the staff speak English, which is nice. But they aren't that helpful. Case in point: We wanted to go to see the terra-cotta warriors. They didn't tell us that we could take the 306 bus from the train station. The only offered their tour which was about 675 RMB. On the last day I was told that i needed to pay for breakfast because my deposit was not enough to cover the price. So i did. When I checked out I was given back around 350RMB of my deposit back. Breakfast cost about 50RMB. Ok hotel, no places to go in walking distance. And breakfast won't blow your skirt up. Overall an ok experience.
