Getting there was very easy, it is right outside the tram (streetcar) station. Getting anywhere is therefore also very easy. The office and entrance is typically student hostel but the rooms are more like a modest hotel. I have a single room on the 6th floor. The sheets were very clean and bathroom is very nice with the hitech toilet seat; everything looks to be newly updated. Lots of shelf to put staff in the vanity. The AC/heater worked great once I figured out how to turn the timer off. I had to get help to operate the toilet flush (it is controlled by a button on the control panel not the lever even though there is a lever) and the AC/heater programmer which is all in Japanese. The inn is walking distance to the memorial and the huge shopping mall in the area. There is a restaurant by the office offering Okonoyaki which I regretted not trying. The best part of my stay was making the trip to Miyajima which I discovered by accident reading the brochure in the room. And....the staff was very helpful, courteous, enthusiastic and they speak English pretty well.
