A very classy hotel! The is a great ambience about this hotel from the moment you arrive, passing staff in the corridors, meal time, at the spa and pool and on departure. The hotel smells of the highest quality and that quality was delivered when we stayed. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for the complete 5 star package

Modern rooms and decoration , outstanding service, people pay lot of attention to the guests, new large rooms with all amenities we need. Fantastic Italian restaurant, la Locanda and a Japanese restaurant very good too. SPA is also a point to highlight, excellent massages.

Room tip: rooms with river view, best ones

the hotel is a fairly new ritz carlton. I have stayed 4 times,once during a typhoon and twice when it was raining and once when the sakura blossoms were in full bloom and the weather was glorious. The rooms are comfortable, large for Japan, and the service is excellent. The weather almost doesn't matter as the hotel is close to many of the sites and taxi's are plentiful and the metro system is both easy to use and well priced.

You Must have breakfast at this hotel. The croissants, breads and other French pastries are better and more beautifully presented than in France. Coffee is strongly brewed and hot, and the buffet filled with seasonal fruits and salad.

Room tip: Suites in the hotel are expensive, but beautiful. rooms looking over the water are nice.

The hotel employees & associates made our stay a memorable one. Their attention to detail and personalized service making you feel that you are the only guest at the hotel & giving us their undivided attention is truly appreciated & unforgettable. The hotel is well balanced with between traditional Japanese heritage & 5 star facilities & services. The culinary offering is of a very high standard too. Do ensure to try the hotel guest activities & short day trips organized by their well knowledgeable & attentive concierges & hosts. It's a good way to see kyoto within two days.
Ms.Megumi, Mutsuki are true experience creators at Ritz Carlton Kyoto.

Everything about this hotel is superb. It is in a central location. It is relatively new. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are state-of-the art-Japan, which means great. Alexandre gave us a warm welcome. Sho the concierge positively and professionally responded to our every request, making recommendations and reservations to restaurants, for electric bikes and helmets, even for sumo wrestling practice. Housekeeping was attentive to every detail and room service was so helpful when we thought we might be coming down with a cold. Coco gave me the best massage of my life, so great that I went back to the spa for another the next day. The management was humble and attentive. We got a rate for a room with breakfast, which was worth the price because the selection is wide, the food is delicious and the beverages are plentiful. Our stay at he Ritz-Carlton Kyoto exceeded our expectations. We are grateful to the ladies and gentlemen who work there for the extraordinary service they provide.
