This is possibly one of the best okonomiyaki places I have ever been. I understand that Tsuruhashi Fugetsu is somewhat of a chain restaurant around Japan but the sign outside proclaimed that the #1 okonomiyaki was to be found here and it definitely proved to be true. I travelled alone for this meal and was promptly seated and given an English menu (although I declined) they recognised the need for foreigners to be able to order in their own language. I was only interested in the okonomiyaki so skipped the menu and ordered just that plus a drink. The staff were prompt and expressive - although we clearly couldn't speak the same language they showed me every step of the okonomiyaki process and the meal was delicious, tender and juicy. I went back again the next night and they remembered me and even the drink I had. The cost was cheap (meal for under $12AUS) and I was so pleased, I will recommend this place to all.

Had dinner here with a couple friends. The decor is simple and functional. Each table had their own teppanyaki frying plate.

The food itself was great. It is full of toppings: cheese, eggs, meat and seafood. The servants are helpful, they will help you to cook the dishes.

Overall there is a very good experience, I'll definitely recommend to friends and go again!
