My experience at Winsin is similar to other travelers, as reported here. This is a good budget hotel option. I have stayed 3 times now. First stay I booked on booking.com for 88 Ringgits a night (single occupancy), then on subsequent visits they have given me the same rate. You can pay daily (in advance) or for as many days as you wish to stay. The hotel is quiet and does not suffer from traffic noise even though buses pass on the two streets surrounding the hotel. Wifi works well. TV has the BBC, a movie channel and about 6 other Malaysian channels; that’s all, which is similar to all other budget hotels I have stayed at in KL.
Aircon is split set and only has one setting: ON. Works pretty well at cooling the room.
On all floors of the hotel there is a filtered water dispenser for both hot and cold water. This is a great saving on bottled water. The hotel has a lift too, and is staffed 24hours on reception.

The downside for me was the occasional cockroach in the room. Management should really do something about this, like fumigating the entire hotel. My room on the second floor was particularly bad and I had to kill at least 20 small cockroaches during my multiweek stay. For my room on the 4th floor I had to kill only 3 cockroaches, and for my room on the first floor none at all.

Overall the quality of the hotel, good location, and relatively low price make this a good budget option. Will stay again.

Room tip: higher floors overlooking the park are nice for the views

the hotel room is just your common bedroom.. a spacious room with comfy beds, ref, tv, table and chairs, aircon and a simple bathroom and daily room service. but the extraordinary here is the view outside our window.. the petronas twin towers and menara tower can both be seen from our room.
the location is just a little walking to chinatown, cental market, merdeka square, gokl bus stop, mydin mart, star shuttle bus to klia1&2, and lrt
free wifi also

Booked this hotel on line based on previous reviews and we were very pleased with it. The location in fantastic, literally in the midst of all you want to see/experience and a short walk from the rail station. The Hop-On Hop-Off bus stop in Chinatown is just a short walk away. We had a perfect view (albeit hazy thanks to the fires from Indonesia) of the KL Tower from our window - and were able to watch the base jumpers! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Wifi is decent and the rooftop seating area is nice at night. There is no laundry service at the hotel but you can avail of a good service at the Dragon Hotel in Chinatown, just a short walk away (behind the Watson's). The staff also permitted us to store our backpacks for a few hours after we checked out.

Stayed here for five nights in a triple room with two other friends. The room was nice and large with plenty of space in the bedroom for three suitcases without compromising moving space. The beds were reasonably comfy and clean too whilst the TV worked fine beside it being a bit small. Bathroom also really spacious with everything working as you would expect although the shower heater is a bit tedious to use!

As for the location, the hotel is smack in the middle of China town with superb access to the nearby market streets as well as the Central Market centre (both less than a five minute walk away). It goes without saying there's a great variety of restaurants and shops knocking around and when you want to travel further around KL, Pasar Seni station is just a five minute walk away!

Overall, the hotel has a lot of things going for it and is a more than sensible choice for people travelling on a budget!

Room tip: Higher floors have decent views of KL Tower and Patronas Towers

The room was clean, but a little old, size is not small. TV was out of order. Night construction site nearby. Location is good - China market, Central market, bus station. 5 min. to U Bahn, 10 min. to railway station (to Batu caves). The streets to hotel are desolate late in the night (better use taxi). There is cold and hot drinking water on the floor. The rooms are non-smoking, but people smoke there. The stuff is helpfull when you ask them about smth. Little simple cafes with national food are by the hotel (not expensive). Also shops, currency exchange.

Room tip: My room looked to the city center and there was noise from cnstruction site
