Came here hoping to sample a range of Malaysian dishes. All the restaurants on the street were Chinese or Thai, which is fine. But if you are looking to experience local cuisine or you only have a short time in Malaysia I would suggest eating elsewhere.

Worth a visit, lots of different eateries, choose one with local people eating there and you will be fine
Be prepared for owners to grab you and shove menus in your face.
Prices are reasonable but more than I remembered them being.
£3-4 for a dish.
£3 for 10 satay sticks.
The road is very busy so watch your valuables.
Lots of fruit sellers too and if all that fails to appease your appetite there is a kfc near by

Though the food street have alot of food outlets but next to nothing is halal. Almost all of the main shops serve non-halal food. There are couple of shops at the back that serve halal but they are not that much appealing.

This is a must for a tourist visit in KL. The best Hawker market in KL. During a recent company trip to KL, we could not get our Chinese colleagues away from the Durian stalls ...
However, there is far more to sample than just Durian.
