Tai-Ichi Hotel
Ranked #82 of 364 Kuala Lumpur B&B and Inns
Reviewed 18 February 2017

This hotel is located at the heart of Bukit Bintang area. Easy to get excess to Lot 10 Shopping Mall, Star Hill and Pavilion.

Room is average medium size with all the basic necessities. The room is clean but the air-conditioning is noisy.

Reception counter staff are not friendly. There is no breakfast included for this room.

Plenty of food and stall surrounding the hotel. The famous Jalan Alor is just behind the hotel.

The hotel provide free WiFi but poor connection.

Room Tip: Nothing much you can because the hotel is surrounded by building.

I'm just coming back from one night trip from KL and since i'm alone this time, i thought maybe i'm going to try something different and not staying at 4/5 stars hotel. This hotel is really good value for the price it offered. You get everything you expected, comfy bed, hot shower, tv with good selection of channels, there's also fridge and safety box, and most importantly it's clean. Really good choice if you're looking for a good budget hotel to stay at Bukit Bintang, and it's really close to Alor too and KFC is just right around the corner.

Room Tip: Ask for the room in the new building since they have building A and building B (newer one)

We were just looking for a place to sleep for 2 nights and this place provided that. Positives are very comfortable memory foam beds and pillows and a great showerhead. Lively location near Jalan Alor, lots of places to eat at pretty much any time of day, heaps of shopping malls, with a bus stop for the free purple buses to KLCC about a block away. We asked for a quiet room and got one at the back which had surprisingly no traffic noise at all. However, the staff didn't have a record of our online booking and we had to ask for little things like wifi password and hairdryer. Also the room smelled a little like stale cigarettes - this was fixed by opening the window for a few hours, but the staff could have done this when cleaning the room. The wardrobe also smelled and looked unfinished with shelves and racks missing. Would have liked to rate this place higher otherwise.

Stayed for 3 nights in Taiichi and bid adieu satisfied. The place is spanking clean and rooms are not too small when compared to Hongkong rooms at this price (MR 133).Toilets and bath are really generous( again HK is the comparo). The room (standard double) has an electronic safe, hair dryer, an electric kettle with instant coffe/tea bags, cream and sugar.Wifi is fast and free. The location is just perfect, once you alight at the Bukit Bintang Air Asia metro station, walk down the steps to the street (Jalan Sultan Ismail)and cross the road and go straight to the Bukit Bintang street, its on the right hand side and very visible. The Alor street famed for its street food cooked fresh is 2 minutes away. The Changat Bukit Bintang with its clubs and pubs is a merry makers heaven and just a stones throw far.The receptionist/manager is an elderly but sprightly lady who is quiet adorable.I kept all my stuff in the reception when i went out after checking out and they kept it under lock and key.For business or pleasure with family on a budget I would recommend Taiichi Hotel.KLCC park and the Aquarium is a 15 minutes walk.Central Market and KL bird park is 10 minutes via UBER or GRAB and ..i found GRAB a notch cheaper than UBER.

Although it is situated in a convenient location. The price is a bit dear compared to so many others around. The rooms are just ok. There are no news channels on its TV. I especially abhorred the lousy WiFi it provided.

The Hotel located at Bukit Bintang, a very strategic location. Near monorail station Bukit Bintang, near Bukit Bintang Bus Stop where 3 from 4 routes of go KL busses pass by. So many malls in walking distance and near the famous Alor Street.
The hotel room itself is clean and spacious. The bathroom is clean with enough amenities. The price is fair and the lady in the front office is very hepful. You also can leave your baggage after check out there and take them later.

October 2015 . This is already my third visit in this Hotel . 1989 , 1991 and now . Everything is new and very clean . Friendly Staff , a good Bed for a good sleep . The Bathroom is nice and clean . TV and wifi and an Elevator . The Price is very fair . In the Hotel is a Subway Restaurant . But outside you will find plenty of Restaurants and Coffeeshops , Moneychangers and Shoppingcenters and Taxis . I would come again in this Hotel , highly recommended
