A very interesting and instructive exhibition with a European eye. We spent more hours there. We learned the secrets of making and finishing eastern textile.

Two floors of fabric, costume and jewellery exhibition that is really an eye opener on the diversity, rich tradition of every tribe and people of Malaysia. Especially the 1st floor filled with historical costume displays and fascinating jewellery and weapons is a must to see. Short film will show you how some items of jewellery are made. In my opinion a very understated place to visit.

There were some quite interesting displays of fabric and some descriptions of the changes throughout time. It is located across from the library which is how we stumbled across it. (The library was closed for renovations. )

I have an interest in textiles so it was worth dropping into this small, free museum as it is close to such a famous area. The museum shop is hidden down a corridor, you will need to look for it if you want it! I found it by the toilets.
