This hotel is always simply outstanding. While the Shangri La brand is known for its high standards and warm hospitality, I feel that this particular property is above and beyond the standard level of a Shangri La property. Upon check in, they immediately remember you, know your preferences and manage the check in experience with a lot of finesse. They have reviewed your preferences prior to check in and follow through very smoothly.
The star moments of the hotel stay are in the executive lounge experience. If you are not a diamond member, I would highly recommend paying extra to book a room or suite that includes club lounge privileges at this hotel. The lounge food and drink is excellent and the offerings are extremely generous. The staff are all uniformly efficient, hard working, alert, attentive and friendly, while still maintaining a very professional demeanour. I even observed a situation where a customer was unhappy with something and the staff handled him very professionally and personally, fixed the problem and satisfied the customer. I overheard the conversation and was impressed with the staff member’s ability to resolve the issue.

I have stayed at about 17 Shangri La properties over the last several years, many on a regular basis, and in my opinion, the staff at the club lounge of this property in Kuala Lumpur are among the very best I have ever seen. They deserve accolades for their excellent work ethic and strong performance.
