Most of the reviews here mentioned something about the dated rooms, so I wont talk much about it - yes, a renovation or upgrade will be good for this hotel.

But that aspect alone should not be the deciding factor of your stay.
What you will love about this hotel:

1) Service - the staff were very professional and friendly, you will "feel welcomed" here. The front office as the first point of pyhsical contact was very courteous and warm. My room door cant be locked, reported to them and was promptly solved.
The staff at the Executive Lounge also deserve a mention (sorry, i only remember Feroz) - very professional and attentive to requests.

2) Location - the hotel is located in between the 2 shopping districts of KL ie KLCC and Bukit Bintang. Pavilion Mall is just accross the street (accessible via an elevated pedestrian bridge) while the KLCC/Aquaria is on the other end of the bridge (5min walk). Very convenient location i must say - as there's a monorail station nearby (Raja Chulan station) as well as the LRT station at KLCC.

3) Value - While having the great service and perfect location, it remain good value for money, if you compare to other properties within the same parameter.

I do agree with you, we have excellent staffs, great location and definitely value for money. I have shared your compliments with Feroz and the Executive Lounge team. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback such as yours and this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services.

Great location and has easy access to the KLCC/Aquaria, Bukit Bintang, Pavillion mall, Monorail and LRT stations within a short walking distance. However I do acknowledge our rooms and bathrooms are dated and the good news is we have plans for refurbishment this year.

Poor service at reception, room had mould, other people stuff and no hairdryer or ironing board. Breakfast was poor and cold. Asked for folderway bed twice and 4 hours later it arrived. Came back at 4pm and the room had still not been cleaned so asked for this.

While we wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this which will improve us further. Please accept our sincere apologies for your unpleasant experience staying with us, poor service at reception, mouldy room, no hairdryer, breakfast was poor and cold, waited for about 4 hours for the rollaway bed and delay in making up the room. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience and it’s apparent in this case we fell short. We have taken all your comments seriously and reviewed them with our Housekeeping and Front Office team and preventive action have been taken to prevent future occurrence. Our Executive Chef is currently reviewing our breakfast selection and will ensure the food is kept warm. We hope that this will not change your perception of Novotel Kuala Lumpur and we would love to have you back as our distinguished guest. We stayed for 3 nights and had a room on the 27th floor ("premium executive"). Reasonably good hotel but a bit dated.

Pros:
- The location, you're just next door to the Pavilion and Bukit Bintang walk.
- View of the Petronas towers from the room.
- Breakfast on the 28th floor so no waiting lines and good service.

Cons:
- Maybe the other rooms are different, but the one we stayed in was on the small side and could really use some renovation. More Ibis than Novotel.
- Only three elevators so you had to wait for a long time.

Just wish to thank the Duty Manager Mr Dominic today for the best customer service I have ever encountered in Malaysia. I will surely return again to have the pleasure to meet Mr Dominic again. Such awesome experience and kudos to the hotel management for employing A-List staff! Congrats again.
