Good Hospitality vegetarian hotel very near to the KL Sentral station. You can get all the vegetarian delights and also a blend of South Indian and North Indian tastes. They are open from 7.30 Am to 11 PM on all days

Located in the area popularly called Little India, this small restaurant continues the tradition of good food and hospitality of the Saravana Bhavan chain which has similar restaurants across India and across the world too. The chain generally keeps to the same menu throughout its chain and a patron used to their menu back home in India will feel at home ordering from the menu at the KL restaurant too. Service is a hall mark of Sarvana Bhavana and the same prompt and courteous service seen elsewhere is found at KL too. The food is almost the same too as elsewhere. The restaurant should be tried for its south Indian vegetarian fare as they do serve other food popular in north and western India apart from ice creams. For Indians on travel, short or long to KL, this is a good stopover to catch a taste of vegetairan food as it is made in south India! The restaurant faces the street and does not have very largenumber of seats; this is partly made up by a private area that can be used by families and large groups.

I'm a regular at Saravana Bhavan, and I want you to know why. The place is always clean. The food is delicious, consistently. The waiters, while they don't speak much English or Malay, are very courteous. Everything you order will be served piping hot - guaranteed 'freshness'! You must not not try the Paneer Bonda - cottage cheese fried in a concoction of herbs (I'm guessing, but they taste so good, you won't have time to think about the ingredients!) and the Paneer Dosa - thin rice crepe filled with spicy cottage cheese masala - yes, getting all cheesy here. And my new-found love - the dosa with spinach-mint-potato fillings. SB has several branches in Kuala Lumpur, including Jalan Masjid India and Brickfields. They're global too, and can be found in the US and the Emirates, to name a few. You can go to www.saravanabhavan.com for more info.

Fantastic vegetarian restaurant. Extensive menu. Took a little while to find among the plethora of Brickfields shops, but well worth it. Has been shortlisted by Time Out Kuala Lumpur in their Best Indian restaurant. We each ate the 'Saravana Special Meal' and with two lime juice plus one small bottle of water came to 37 Malay Ringit (c. £6). Similar to a Thali, the plate had several different types of dhal, curry and was accompanied by steamed rice, poppadum and chappati. Lots of different textures, flavour and heat. Can't wait to go back! Service was very quick and polite. Lots of Indian families having meals on Saturday night. It's clean, bright and a bit formica/plastic so not a romantic venue but well worth the adventure off the beaten track. http://www.saravanabhavan.com/menu/Malaysia/malaysia_kuala_lumpur.pdf
