After seeing Kenny Rogers Roasters all over Manila, I decided to try it.

Having tried and eaten roast chicken in many places in Australia and elsewhere, my experience at Kenny Rogers was rather uneventful and uninspiring.

There is nothing in the way the chicken is seasoned and roasted that would make you say “wow” “amazing” “delicious”!!!!!

I am almost certain there is tastier and cheaper roast chicken in Manila.

Try true lichen manok anywhere else in the city, say Andok's or Baliwag and wave goodbye to the mediocre-tasting Kenny's. As it's in the middle of the mall on the main floor of the old wing, perhaps the biggest perk is the air-con environment,
I don't go back because it's not that great.

We opted to walk to the mall for dinner on our stop in manila. We had seen a few kenny Rodgers around so decided to try it out.

They offer a lot of chicken meals. I had a chicken and rib combo meal that came with 2 sides. I had corn on the cob and buttered vegetables and a sprite. It cost me about 425php. It was quite tasty and I really enjoyed it.

You order at the till and then go take a seat while you wait for it to cook. The food is brought to your table. The staff were friendly. It has a cross between fast food/restaurant atmosphere.

The first thought I had when I saw this was "fried"food - being Kenny Rogers I assume with anything that is or has a American Name that it is "fried". Well wasn't I wrong.. A healthy option that serves low calorie meals, grilled chicken, salads. I ordered the low calorie meal which comprised of grilled fish with garlic rice and steam vegetables, with a sprite. It was cooked on a grill that you can see from inside the store whilst you wait. The service however is slow and sometimes tedious.. the noise makes it hard for the staff trying to take your order difficult and some of the tables they sit 2 people on are really designed for 1 as you cant fit 2 people plates and drinks all on without the fear of it falling off
