Look...

I been through years of rock shows, and punk shows and even some underground rap back in the day and I have been to dozens of venues.

This is the worst thought out disaster in the history of venues!

Pizzeria built in serves only to confuse both concert and pizza-goers.

Kids have closest access and bar space is oddly laid out and weirdly placed.

The dirtiest, most disgusting bathrooms ever... and I mean EVER.

It is an intimate spot to see performers, but only go if it is the ONLY Northeast USA performance for you very most favorite musician and even then PREPARE YOURSELF!

Seriously... This place is horrible.

That said:

It would have served fine for grunge rock in the 90s, so if you or your child is a punk rock/pop punk fan who only showers occasionally and believes that underwear only needs washing when it can climb into the hamper by itself?

Let them pack their sweaty selves into this place and know that they are safe and well looked over.... For the bouncers and management, while as unfriendly as (sub)humanly possible, do keep a safe environment and manage the dumpster remarkably well.

I have been to the Crocodile Rock Cafe various times for concerts. This is probably one of the grungiest concert venues. I give props to the management because they are always walking around the venue making sure everything runs smooth but in general the place is a little crummy. There are about 3 rooms where you can see a concert. The two rooms downstairs remind me of a college basement party. There is mismatched furniture and the floor tiles and rug look old. Also sometimes there is no air conditioning so it gets very hot downstairs and you get no cell phone service there either. The rooms are also small. The upstairs venue is a little better. It is much bigger so there is more space but it still has that basement feel.

The cool part about this place is the main room when you walk in to order pizza. There are picture frames of musicians that have played there in the past. If you look closely you may see some familiar faces in the photos!
