Description: CENTRO - An Italian eatery offers inspired cuisine uniquely prepared and presented in a casual and engaging atmosphere. The seasonal menu highlights small and share plates using local and sustainable foods to create rustic Italian fare. Specialties include the CENTRO meatballs, sage pappardelle with duck ragu, and stone-fired pizzas. Several dishes on the menu are Gluten Free! CENTRO also features a rotation of imported Italian craft beer, both on draft and in bottle, as well as cocktails created using fresh ingredients and putting spins on classic Italian aperitifs. To celebrate the grape, our sommelier has assembled an impressive list of 95 bottles and more than 25 wines by the glass available in 2 sizes, including a 9 oz meant for sharing. Our bar also stays open until 11pm.

Can’t really say anything bad about Centro, but nothing really sets them above other restaurants either. Prices are not bad, alcohol a bit more. Their pizza is very good but other meals just average and portions on smaller size. Was turned off by the olives they offer instead of bread as the we’re old, warm and mushy. Put zzz is very good. To many other good restaurants to really need to return.

The pizza is about as good as pizza gets. The entrees are good. Prices are reasonable. Service was good. Nice atmosphere.

We were looking for a place to eat before seeing a show at the PPL Center. We walked to a few places but the menus weren't grabbing us. As soon as we walked into Centro, we knew that was where we'd be eating! The restaurant is small...but we didn't feel crowded. Our waitress was wonderful and the owner was walking around and checking in with every table. One of our drinks didn't taste right...the owner took it and immediately rectified it. The food was wonderful...we had a pizza...Bob's Bolognese Special...and Antignolli (sp?) con Ricotta! They were all incredible! We will definitely be back again!

Went to CENTRO last night while visiting Allentown. The restaurant is in a great neighborhood and is appealing even from the outside. If it was warmer I would have wanted to eat in the outdoor seating! Great decor, good music, great food and very accommodating staff made for a great meal. Of particular note is that my son has a severe nut allergy and their patience and ability to work with us was so appreciated. We had a calamari appetizer which was flavored very well, and four different pizzas which we all enjoyed. The crusts were perfectly crispy and the toppings delicious. We would definitely go back when visiting the area again.

My wife and I were here when it first opened a year or two ago and gave it a favorable review. We dined here recently and had to wait too long for our food. There were not many people in the restaurant when we arrived and placed a starter order fairly soon; three stuffed figs. The order arrived forty five minutes later; I was on my second wine. We also ordered a pizza which came out about one hour and fifteen minutes after our seating (and after a discussion with our server and the manager.) We saw other tables getting food who were seated well after us. I'm sure you have been through this at times as well. It was a busy Saturday evening with a Symphony event. Food is made to order, I know. An apology was given and an appetizer was taken off the bill but the staff didn't seem to be all that concerned. Maybe they are having trouble with a busy crowd, but a well run restaurant handles these things. Another table had a similar problem. Food was just ok. We won't be back. Too bad, the food selection is interesting, but service trumps food for me. There is a lot of good food out there.
