Two couples had dinner while traveling. Food was ok, same as you get at any other Chinese Buffet. Over all appearance and cleanliness good except for ice cream station which was very messy.

The building and dining room are attractive.

Food seemed of good quality and variety, but everthing is way overcooked.

They had octopus that was very rubbery. The beef was cooked to the point of being difficult to chew. The shrimp was impossible to seperate from the shells.

The same with the Mongolian grill, meats were cooked to the point of being wet chewy jerky.

They seem to start with decent food items, but what they do to them by the time they hit your plate should be a crime.

We went on Christmas Day, because we couldn’t find anything else open to eat. We were just traveling through for one night on our way to Denver from Houston. You have to pay first before you can be seated. All of the food was fresh and the restaurant was clean. There was plenty of seating. The people working there were friendly.

No sniping here.

Went for 3 lunches during 3 consecutive weeks in November. Progressively, they declined in quality, satisfaction, and value. Will not return. Anyone concerned about food-bourne illness &/or cross-contaminated serving stations should reconsider their choice to eat here.

It starts badly. Lin's vestibule greets customers with stale, artificially scented air which begs the overall cleanliness question. Their bathrooms reinforce the vestibule's wary greeting.

In no particular order, things get worse:

- Leftovers. This place unabashedly serves yesterday's (??) leftovers.
- Unappetizing vegetables & salads in ice, not on ice.
- Spoiled &/or waxy fruit, chewy jello, and "healthy choices" suspended in syrups & oils.
- Doughy fried foods that taste of the fryer, not of the food.
- Refried items (wontons, S&S chicken, fantail shrimp, wings, etc.) were _COLD_ in their centers & stringy.
- Salty selections lacked authentic flavor, & freshness.
- Some chicken dishes were way too sweet (Sesame, Gen Tso, & Lin's, especially).
- Steamed rice was over done; Fried rice was dry; Lo mein noodles overcooked; vegetables ruined in them, & Singapore noodles had too much cinnamon in them.
- Dumplings & soup wontons mushy & tasted sour; may have been freezer-burned prior to cooking.
- "Beef" selections were salty & sinewy, or bland & starchy.
- Shrimp & seafood selections were overcooked, &/or tasted freezer-burned.
- Vegetarian dishes, with 2 exceptions, were all cold.
- Salt & pepper shakers, soy sauce sticky, dirty, and clogged.
- Undersides of tables & chairs sticky; gum, grime, and whatnot discovered.
- Silverware, teacups & teapots in need of sanitizing.
- Discolored proteins at stir-fry station.
- Sushi was dry & rubbery, except for the "krab salad," which is inedible. Rice = "Glushi."
- Stale pastries allowed to harden long-term instead of being replaced.

Upon asking the waitstaff for fresh(er) or missing items from the buffet, although friendly enough, each reported being unable to understand the kitchen staff (language barrier), or could not satisfy the requests for unknown reason(s).

Saw kitchen staff openly eating from the buffet as they replenished items, while ignoring discarded/dropped food on the floor at their feet.

The above issues demonstrate terrible accountability & apathetic management practices. During 2 of 3 visits, I observed the presumed (front-of-house) manager play on his tablet/laptop for literally hours. He did virtually nothing to support his staff, clean up after himself, or help to maintain a clean or appetizing environment whatsoever. I empathize with the waitstaff, and hope he gets the wake-up call Lin's Grand Buffet deserves. TX Health Department take note.

We enjoyed the different shrimp and chicken dishes. Their fried rice is always good. We've never had the Mongolian barbecue, but it's an option. I'm used to more complex sushi, so don't get theirs. Servers are friendly and quick to remove dirty dishes. It's one of our regular places to visit in Amarillo.
