My family found photos of this lovely place when we googled "Aransas Pass" searching for an inexpensive but comfortable place to stay while kayaking / birding / fishing at our favorite spots on the Texas coast. To be perfectly frank, we thought the photos must have been touched up. But when we arrived, we found the Dominican Breeze cottages attractive inside and out with particularly gorgeous gardening. BUT, although we love pleasant surroundings, all four of us are particularly interested in comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchens, convenient parking, clean surroundings, privacy, reliable internet connection, and affordable rates. Rarely do we find all of these requirements rolled up into one place. But, Dominican Suites hit the bullseye on ALL of these areas. And, as an extra bonus, the web-based registration was top-notch and the service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed our stay during the extended Memorial Day weekend so much that we returned for a week-long stay in July. I've never written a review for a place before, but felt compelled to share this good news about Dominican Breeze with everyone I know (and even some folks I don't know!) One last thought - my husband is very hard to please with comfort and price. Even he was impressed with Dominican Breeze!

The cottage is nice, however even if you have a pet for just a while with you, they will kick you out with no exceptions ... We had to take our 2 small dogs with us on the trip ... Once of which is fixing to have babies and that is why we took them ... The were in a kennel in Port A, the day before we were going to check out we had to pick them up ... The property manager knocked on our door at 10:45pm on Monday night, knowing we were checking out on Tuesday at 11:00 ... She made no exception and asked us to vacate the condo right then ... After quickly gathering our stuff we check out of the condo ... Left it neater than what it was when we arrived ... Since we would have to find another hotel in Corpus, we choose to drive all the way back to Austin and arrived at 3:00 am ... Thank goodness we did not have any type of accident from being extremely exhausted ... So if you plan to stay there, make sure you have nothing that even looks like an animal, not even a crab ... They will kick you out regardless of the time. And no refund for time unused ... Photos are inviting on the site, but there where fisherman coming and going all hours of the night ... And of course they were not quite and fish are an a part of being an animal but they surely did not get kicked out ...plus looking at the photos on the web site your staying in a ral nice place , but you really are right smack in the middle of the getto. beware well stay and find a much better place to enjoy aransas pass next time .

This particular guest was advised of our pet policy prior to their arrival and yet they took it upon themselves to bring their pets anyway. In addition to us verbally telling them that pets were not allowed, they signed our agreement, which states pets are not allowed in big bold letters. Not only did they bring one but two dogs, one of which was pregnant and who knows when she would have given birth. We love pets, however we must keep in mind of the guests that may have allergy problems as well as dealing with cleaning up shedding hair and worrying about if a pet is potty trained. If they knew they needed to bring their pets, arrangements should have been made to accomodate their needs. Don't discredit our property due to our policies that we have set in place.
All of our cottages and suites are left in an immaculate condition for the welcoming of each and every guest. The cottage was left in decent condition upon departure, however it most definately was not left in better condition upon their arrival.
As far as our location, we are conveniently located at the corner of Hwy 35 and N. Houston, which happens to be located at the entrance of where a neighborhood of older homes exist. We have never had any reported issues with any instances of any crime occurring on our property.
