We evacuated Houston because of hurricane Harvey. We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to give Lambert's a try. Well the food was really good. We shared one meal beef ribs, mac & cheese and brussel sprouts they also serve these little jalapeño cornbread muffins that are amazing. The ribs were good but a little charred the mac & cheese was the best I've ever tasted in my life and the brussel sprouts were very delicious. But the price was really expensive to me $69.00 for one meal st dinner. I think that the same food at lunch time would have been about half the price. All in all though it was a good dining experience the service was quick and good.

Great Atmosphere with equally good food. Live music nightly. Inside and outside dining. Bartenders were very friendly - Nick makes a fantastic Dark & Stormy.

It is definitely a hipster BBQ place. The vibe is cool and decor is cute. My food was tasty but it isn't your typical BBQ place. I had the brisket and potato salad with a yummy specialty cocktail. The location is great.

Visited for lunch on a Saturday, it was busy but we were seated quickly. Server was helpful with local beer choices and menu recommendations. Food was fantastic! It's not the traditional BBQ on a tray, but that's not what we were after that day and it was great. All the sides we tried were wonderful. The desserts sounded great but we were way too full after our meals. Would go again.

We had lunch here - our waitress provided us with good service. We ordered the Smoked Brisket Salpicon and two-meat bbq plate. The smoked brisket menu says it comes with "Avocado, iceberg lettuce, pico, lime, corn tortilla's. This item was so spicy it was basically inedible. Turns out the restaurant chops up Serrano Chiles in the dish, but neglects to tell the customer that. We informed our waitress and she said she passed on our comment but the restaurant did nothing about it. On the two-meat bbq plate we got sliced brisket and a pork spare rib. We had asked for the brisket to be cut off the "point" (fatty end) but instead we got pure lean meat - no fat at all. Further we only got three very small slices - about 3 ounces of meat - pathetic. The spare rib was ok. When we have visited Austin in the past we have always stopped at Lamberts for lunch. This is the first time we were disappointed. Since there are a number of bbq places in Austin, we will avoid Lamberts in the future.
