This is a place with no frills, nothing fancy, just an irishly decorated tavern (Malt vinegar included, yay!), serving irish fish and chips. We had cod, which was AWESOME. Chips were excellent but cod was better, perfectly fried, all fresh. We also had the coleslaw, which is 100% house made and taste like heaven.
Beers were expensive and over all the place was kind of over priced for what we got, you know when you get that feeling like, wans't this supposed to be like a real cheap and it wasnt.... Recommended.

Stopped in here on our visit from Buffalo with some friends. This place is no frills, just great food quickly. The fish was awesome. I had heard good things and this place did not disappoint!

Our family of four enjoyed fish & chips here. We had read that this restaurant had the best fries in Virginia. The place didn't disappoint! It's a small menu, but everything we had was good. The fried cod, french fries and fried candy bars made for a delicious (if totally unhealthy) meal! Friendly staff in the tiny restaurant, too.

We had fish and chips, and it was delicious! The Chesapeake sauce (mayo with Old Bay mixed in) really accented both the fish and the chips, in addition to malt vinegar. I added a side of mushy peas, which were quite tasty. After our long day of touring the area, this was a welcome respite and delicious Irish meal.

Great Food! I wish that was all that was necessary for an informative review. Unfortunately not. The fish and chips at Eamonn's is great. (I do wish they were a little more generous with the sauces.) Price wise it is in an uncomfortable zone ... Less expensive than a true sit-down restaurant but substantially more expensive than a traditional carry-out.

Despite the great food, the physical plant is really lacking. For me, it's reminiscent of Ray's Hell Burger and the Burger Joint. Someplace that everyone wants to go but a place that is literally incapable of fully accommodating the patrons. I wish it had the physical plant of Nando's. So, plan to take it home!

And finally .... Chef Armstrong .... Make sure it's fully staffed!
