Everyone knows JFK, I was touched by the story of him visiting Arlington cemetery and commenting on the spot he is buried at. I agree it is a beautiful place to spend eternity. Take the tram / bus tour if you're visiting, the cemetery is vast but it stops at all the important places and you get a good overall commentary

We viewed the famous JFK gravesite on a tour of Arlington. With the eternal flame & signs for silence it is a quiet, peaceful, reflective place. A definite must if you are in the area

The words of Kennedy are inscribed around this site. Some are very famous, some not so much yet still inspiring. A great place to contemplate.

Just across the state line into Virginia you will find this cemetery, once inside there is a shop where you can get some great mementos, you may be shocked by the amount of white headstones but feel this hit home as to the outcomes of what war can do. There are tours but we chose to walk alone to find the parts that interested us. The JFK grave along with his wife and two children is a must but again it hits home again as it was always my wish to visit his grave and you will feel a sense of sadness there.felt like everyone there gave the upmost respect and it's a very peaceful place.
