We ate here a couple of nights since there were not a lot of walking distance food options in the area. We had one member in our party with a food allergy and they got sick 2 out of 3 times we ate here due to cross contamination of food. The selection is good but the service was very slow due to a short amount of staff especially during the happy hour/manager's reception.

We were too tired to go out for dinner so decided to try the hotel restaurant. The salmon was very good, tasty and fresh. Pricing was good...I think $20-$25 for an entree.

Based on these reviews which are all over the place, we did not expect much. But we were pleasantly surprised by both the very good food and exceptional service! Hammid certainly went out of his way to make our experience worthwhile. I had a wonderful golden beet salad with a gorgeous slab of perfectly cooked salmon on top. I hate overcooked fish and it was just right for me. My husband had a Pepperoni pizza and salad and was very happy with that. More than enough food, we took some home.

We were staying at the Embassy Suites Crystal City for a long weekend visit. After a very long and tiring day walking around national mall and tidal basin we came back to hotel and decided to just eat at Tap Twelve. The menu is limited but we all saw something that appealed to us. The chicken panini sandwich was incredibly delicious. Our waiter was fantastic. He told us how the mangers reception was happening and it was open bar. He didn't have to do that but he took it one step further. He asked us what we wannted to drink and he would go get them for us at the open bar! We told him we would do that ourselves but just the offer is a other example of the great service at this hotel.

Stayed at Embassy Suites for 2 nights, time was limited between arriving and needing to leave for a night tour of DC so we decided to eat at the hotel. Our server was very nice, he did check on us twice. The food was average, nothing special. We ordered drinks, they didn't arrive until the food did, 20 minutes after ordering.
