We had a bit of hard time finding a japanese open restaurant in Kamakura off season. We ended up trying this small place and were enchanted. Go up the stairs and you arrive in a room with either japanese or european seating. You choose a meal from a short menu and then you get a just prepared bowl of fresh food to cook on the plancha in front of you. Mix of meat or seafood, verggies and kind of pancake cake. We had no idea how to cook it - the waiter was extremely nice and even though he did not speak much english, he showed us how to cook on the plancha. We had a lovely dinner and went back the next night!
