This is a good hotel 35 kms from Maceio airport (R$100 by taxi). In fact it is the only hotel in Praia do Frances .Its main advantage is that it is right on the beach, unlike many hotels in the state capital Maceio. Rooms are a decent size, nicely decorated, with sea view (if you ask for it) .Good air conditioning, comfortable beds, small but effective bathroom. Only drawback is the lack of an armchair in the room. Food in the restaurant OK. Breakfast buffet (included in the price) also OK. Reasonable pool area, no sauna or exercise room.Avoid the months of June, July and August (heavy rain).

The beach has a Brazilian vibe (endless stream of vendors of french fries, beer, shrimps, clothes, donkey rides etc) which some gringoes may not care for. But it is fun nevertheless. The "village" has a couple of reasonable restaurants, including the best, Mare Pimenta (Italian), otherwise it is completely dead after dark. Very safe.

Room Tip: Essential to go for the first floor, frontal sea view, small veranda.

The location is very good but whoever thought that having stone tiles in the hallway would not create a lot of noise had clearly never thought it through... People were walking back and forth on heels and talking out loud after midnight through the corridors and a strange and eerie sound was being heard all night (still no clue what it was).

Breakfast was OK and the wifi was good but we were more than happy to move on the next morning.

Only stayed one night but was happy enough with everything during our stay.

The rooms are a wee bit shabby but comfortable enough. Great view from the front rooms although a fair amount of traffic noise which can be drowned out by the air conditioner which was very noisy.

Breakfast and wifi was good.

Its not expensive and well worth the money.

The hotel is well situated on the beach although my room did not have a sea view. The rooms are adequate. The work area is poor with a table and chair and no reading lamp. I asked for a wake up call which I did not receive. The food in the restaurant is also a bit hit and miss. The first day lunch was not hot and rather greasy. The second day it was much better. Staff are on the whole attentive and pleasant.

Room Tip: You obviously have to ask for a sea view as the majority of the rooms do not face the seafront.
