We were amazed at the warm reception and attention to our needs and wants by the staff of Praia do Sol hotel in Ilheus, Bahia, Brazil. But we want to highlight Fernando at the lobby and Meiri and Flavio at the restaurant. Great people, great service!

It was a good trip, I think the hotel is perfect for family travels, with a playground, a big pool and the best part is about the beach that we can go just opening a door from the hotel . The breakfast was very complete and delicious. The only thing that we have problems was with the shower but they resolved it.

The bedroom smells bad. There were two pillows so smelly they needed to be replaced. Of course we had to request the exchange three times...

For a stay of one night it might be ok, but I would not stay longer. The only positive is that it is right next to a beautiful beach. The rooms were very noisy, at 6 am in the morning I was awakened by noises of people from outside. The shower had a problem with the cold water, you only got very hot water which is odd. The wifi in the room was horrible, most of the time the connection was interrupted and the internet not working. The hall for dinner and breakfast had the atmosphere of a high school cafeteria and was inside (come on you are directly at the beach but you have to have dinner inside with no view???). Altogether in my opinion this is not a 4 star hotel and not worth the price I paid.

About the restaurant, we would like to inform that we are rebuilding it. Therefore we had to move breakfast and dinner to the event hall. But we will be back to this new restaurant with a beautiful ocean view by december.

The resort is excellent, staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very costly and wifi is very poor. The best thing to notice is the way they fold the towels every day in a different shape. The pool is also very clean and nice. Quick access to the beach.
