Lowlights: first, this hotel does not deserve to be a 4 stars hotel. I would rate as 3 stars but with a struggle. Be aware that you cannot book rooms for your family members (using your own credit card) so if someone arrives first he/ she will need a credit card for himself/ herself. If you use Booking there is no information available about it, which can be painful on arrival when dealing with payments.
Service is very slow, staff do not know the menu and forget about ordering wine or even fish!! Wine will be hot and fish with a weird sea taste. The hotel needs remodeling as it is quite old. You can hear a lot of noises early in the morning due to acoustic issues (and we were not lucky during our stay: a lot of impolite people screaming early in the morning).
It definitely does not worth the money they charge so I would look for other options in the city, which I was told lacks of alternatives.
We had lunch at the Jardim Atlântico Resort and we had very good impressions - and surprise it is also a 4 stars.
Highlights: breakfast, if you are lucky enough to be on Tapioca's day. And to be fair they have friendly staff working over there.
