Very nice hotel across from the beach that has a very long pier that foot traffic that allows an interesting view out in the ocean. The personal service that you would expect in a hotel in an resort area is immediately apparent as soon as stepping out of your taxi. The doorman and bell people make you feel like you just came home. The people behind the reception desk are busy but quick to get you checked in and on your way to your room. Upon being let into your room the bell-people thoroughly explain the many features of the room. All rooms face the ocean and the views are astounding from every floor, from the 1st floor, which actually starts on the the 2nd level of the hotel, to the 12th floor. The dinning room provides 1st class dinning in the evening and a great buffet breakfast in the morning. You may dine or eat in the dining room or outside in the patio area. There are of course many restaurants along the boulevard along the coast where there are many other hotels. Directly across from the hotel on the beach area are hundreds of local artisans and small shopkeepers in small booths selling a mind boggling array of clothing, products and crafts. My wife and I spent 3 days and nights at the Praiano hotel and received royal treatment from everyone, including the manager personally.

The hotel is very nice and with a wonderful location.
The staff was nice and polite and the room was good as well.
The breakfast is good but in my opinion was missing somethings that we found in all the hotels and pousadas that we stayed, like "pao de queijo". Of course, the hotel had other choices for the regional cuisine, but something like that, that is very known, should not miss there!
Good job guys***

It is an old hotel that faced some cheap refurbishment. The rooms are poorly decorated and bathrooms are barely functional. Breakfast is ok, but flies are everywhere. It is located in a very convenient point, just in front of the Meirelles beach. If you are not intending to spend much time at hotel, it would work for u.

Room tip: The rooms facing the sea are a bit more expensive, but worth it.

The hotel is comfortable, very well located on the seafront, but the beach is polluted and unfit for bathing. There are many restaurants nearby, plus a great ice cream shop with ice cream regional flavors. The night has a craft fair in front of the hotel, so is crossing the street, is open until 10 o'clock.

The hotel is pretty old and shabby, the price for the rooms during the Confed Cup 2013 was quite ridiculous! We stayed in a 3-bed room, so we got an ok deal. The location of the hotel is good (right in fornt of the tourist market) and close to a few pretty good restaurants. Just don't expect too much from this hotel, it's far away from being four stars...
