What a perfect place. Unbelievably beautiful place, great service and the best food we ate in Brazil (and the best G&Ts). A laid back vibe to the place, and the beach bar has an excellent playlist :-)
We must mention Fabriccio (I hope that's how it is spelled) who looked after us very well, including taking our son to hospital by boat when he had a medical emergency. Nothing was too much trouble.
The place is magical. We had rooms 2 and 3, which meant we had the exclusive use of the terrace overlooking the bay: would recommend this for a family or group of friends.

Room Tip: Take advantage of the boat trips. Snorkelling is fantastic, and there are many beautiful beaches...

We, my daughter and I, spent 6 nights at the Hotel Bonito Paraiso. Our stay was great: the hotel is located in a small bay and the service and facilities were excellent. Our room was a little dated, but that didn't detract from its charm. The beds are very comfortable.

The food in the restaurant was always delicious and there was enough choice for every taste.

Bonito Paraiso is the perfect place to unwind.
Many thanks to the whole team for an unforgettable stay,
Miriam & Chiara

The staff is very helpful and happy to organise transport, trips etc and give advice on places to visit. The beach is excellent and you can use kayaks and SUP free of charge although the equipment could do with updating. There are also free chairs and parasols for guests to use and a lovely bar. Our room was big and pleasant but could probably do with a finer finish as some fixtures were loose, holes left unfilled. The restaurant is expensive but gorgeous. On a whole this place is a tropical oasis.

We came here for part of our honeymoon and wish we could have stayed longer!! The staff were so kind and friendly, the rooms were safe and comfortable, and the beach was unbelievably gorgeous. We were here 3 nights and ate at the restaurant 2 out of 3 of those nights, both meals were absolutely delicious!! We had a great time chatting with the staff and relaxing on the beach, and we also had a great time on the boat tour we went on that they booked for us at the hotel!! We truly cannot say enough good things. We felt so at home and so happy here. It really is paradise!! If you are lucky enough to be coming to Ilha Grande, the only option is to stay at Bonito Paraiso!!

Bonito Paraiso is a truly beautiful holiday destination. The hotel is lucky to be situated in the most beautiful location and they have created a unique beach house and hotel setup. Above all, the staff are friendly and fun - nothing we asked for was too much and they were helpful and passionate guides for Ilha Grande. We combined resting on the beach with a boat trip and using the snorkelling and kayak equipment to explore the sea.

As for the food and drink - the cocktails were always delicious and we ate very well day and night. The breakfast in particular was a great way to start the day.

Our bedroom was large, modern and decorated well. It was clean and comfortable.

We will be recommending Bonito Paraiso to friends and hoping to return to this unique destination in the future.

I’d like to start with the positives because I always feel so bad leaving a negative review. The only reason I am doing this is so that people have reasonable expectations.
The food was DELICIOUS. Everything we ordered was top quality, fresh, amazing. Unfortunately, the four nights that we had dinner there, the fastest we got our dinner was one hour after ordering it. One night it took an hour and a half. We recognized that this might be a cultural difference, but it was surprising to us, and so I feel it’s worth a mention.
Check-in process was non-existent - we were told to put our bags in the corner and when our room was ready we were walked upstairs. No one told us where the reserved tables were for guests, no one reviewed NOT to use water for tooth brushing, etc, until it came up days into the trip. We didn’t know that there was snorkeling equipment, or a foot washing station until we were there for days. No one said beach towels could be exchanged for new ones. There was a drying machine in our room that we had no idea how to use until we googled it because our clothes started smelling because they weren’t drying due to the humidity. It would have been helpful for someone to mention what it was, and how to use it. There were three different women who worked at reception. There was such a difference in the level of helpfulness. We asked one how we could get a boat to the local Village. We were told it was very busy and we could walk down the beach and try to find one. A few days later, when we asked a different reception person for help, a boat was called for us, and our return trip was arranged as well. There were lots of charming little things about the hotel, but there were also ways that it fell very short. The hallway to our room had multiple sheets of plywood and a small mattress wrapped in black plastic the entire time. By the time we left, two more mattresses had been added. Our room was clean, but very basic. We have stayed in basic eco-resort type accommodations multiple times before. This was the first time that we felt uncomfortable with the first impression. Had we expected something different based on the TripAdvisor 5 rating, maybe the hotel wouldn’t have been disappointing, but overall it was. There is a lot of potential there. But they’re not quite there yet. I’ll end with the island itself is beautiful with a very cool vibe and some of the staff were really wonderful. I’m giving this a four because I feel bad and with the right expectations, it could still make for a wonderful trip.
