We enjoyed our stay at Pousada Manaca, which has very comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. There is free WiFi. Credit/debit cards accepted. There is a laundry service which we used. We had a beach-front room and spent a lot of time in the hammock...

Comfortable and clean, great atmosphere and host. Breakfast is wonderful, with a harbour view. Close to hikes, town and the best food on the island. Host Gerard was gracious, knowledgable and had great ideas in where to visit and how to get to Lopez Mendez

Room Tip: Ask for the ocean view rooms, quiet, great view, and lovely hammock to relax in on the balcony

Gerarde took us in when we had nowhere else to stay. The place is seated perfectly on the beach. Gerarde is a funny character and he and his family serves the best breakfast on the island with great pastries and at least eight different types of fruit. The rooms are lofty and clean with a balcony, including hammock, overlooking the sea. We would definitely stay at Manaca Inn next time! //Louise & Björn

We stayed in Ilha Grande for six days. Manaca is a small pousada, whose garden gate is five meters from the water. It has rather small but very neat rooms with all the comfort you need in a place like the island. Gerard, the owner is a French man, that lives in Brazil for several decades, knows and loves the place and treats you accordingly. He will be eager to guide you and give you excellent advise. We took a room facing the beach in the second floor. Walking along the beach Manaca is close to the village center, but far enough from its noise. Breakfast is delicious and it is served in the garden, a memorable place to seat and contemplate the ocean or read, or dream. Next to the inn there are excellent places to dine.

Room Tip: room for two in the second floor facing the beach

Nice location - just on the beach. I´d recommend to take the room on the upper floor faced the sea. Little difference in price but huge one in perception. Very good breakfast, including a lot of fruit and fresh. The host - Jerard is very amiable and gives a lot of useful advice (I can´t say it about local young staff). Very clean, camfortable and calm small hotel.
