It's important to know that this hotel is split into two different buildings. One is a hotel with standard ensuite rooms. We stayed in this building for 2 nights and found it comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. Albeit there was some significant noise from the restaurant that was next door, this didn't concern us as we usually sleep later, after the noise had diminished but this could affect early sleepers. We then asked to stay another night and got moved to the other building - this is set up more like flats, where the rooms have cooking facilities and a small garden/balcony. They could be really nice. After our stay in the flat on the last night we left feeling disappointed. It wasn't as clean, there was an odd smell, the shower didn't get hot and finally the toilet leaked so much that the bathroom floor was flooded in the morning. We mentioned the issues to reception which was met with only mild interest, needless to say we didn't see any action to solve the problems.
Breakfast is included each morning and was one of the best we've had in our travels so far.
All in all, we really enjoyed our first room and were really impressed, but the flat was a disappointing end to a lovely few days in Ilha Grande.
