The pictures on the website did not correspond to what the hotel is.
Let’s start talking about the room. It was very spacious, but that was about it! It had a very old furniture, that wasn’t enough to fill up the room. The bathroom came out from a nightmare! Mismatched tiles, loose toilet, a very weak shower, etc...
I forgot to say that our room was one of the best they had.

The sofa bed in the TV area had a smelly and stained bedding, that we asked to change twice, but they did not change it.

The breakfast area was small for the amount of people staying in the hotel. Was hard to find a place to sit, and the tables and people were bumping into each other.
The same problem with the pool area. We were not able to enjoy the pool, because there were no chairs available at any of the 5 days we stayed there. Too many people for a small pool area and the amount of chairs.

We stayed here 2 nights and were disappointed with our room which was on the ground floor at the side of the hotel along a narrow wall-bordered path and tucked under a stairway to upper floors. The one small window could not be opened for if we had done so then it would have been a hazard to other guests walking along the narrow path and there would certainly not be any privacy for us. Naturally other guests walked along this path to reach their rooms and it was obvious they were enjoying their holiday from the amount of noise they made as they passed by our room at nighttime. Barking dogs and loud road noise also prevented sleep. However the room was clean although when we arrived at 9pm we had to wait for our room as it had not yet been cleaned! The room was small and infested with mosquitoes. We had arranged with management to check out early but no-one came to our check-out and so we left the key with the night security guard. This hotel is set a block from the main coach/bus station.

Room tip: Do not accept the room under the stairs along the narrow noisy path

Hotel manager completely uncooperative with cancellation and fees. Tried to rebook at a late date due to poor weather but management lied and said it was a no show even with email proof of cancellation

I travel quite often to
Paraty and always stay here, close to downtown, big parking lot, breakfast is very good. Rooms are big, it has a living room and a bedroom. Mosquitoes are a problem but it happens in every hotel in town. Nice pool perfect to take the sea salt out of your bathing suit.

Nice posada at a quite place, but in walking distance to the town.
We had a superior room with a bedroom an a separate living room. The furniture is simple, but the room satisfied our needs. The living room had a sofa, 2 arm chairs, 2 tables and some chairs. It even had a large fridge where we could store some fruit.
The pool area is beautiful and is surrounded by a tropical garden.
Breakfast is quite good, offering fruit, several home made cakes, cereals, eggs, yoghurt, etc.
A baby cot for our child was set up in our room.
