This small palace was interesting to tour. Architecture pleasant, furnished, with a bonus of the royal jewels included in the tour. And the baby crib was amazing. Touring the palace was a great way to learn about the Brazilian royal family. The grounds were nice, including parrots among the bird seen.

The museum itself is a piece of art. The visit is an opportunity to understand the Brazilian society and the period of the Empire. Save 2-3h of your day to go there. A good advice: download the app before so you can listen to extra explanation during the visit.

Good insight into the 1800-1850 period and the Brazilian imperial family, helps to understand who is who... But the highlight is this: guests need to wear protective slippers, to avoid damaging the floor. And there are long corridors... Brazilian take on ice skating!

Great opportunity to see architecture, ammenities and authentic furniture from more than 150 years ago...fully understandable that all visitors has to use some kind of flipflops to use with shoes and slide all over the place to not mistreat old imperial floor...but it was kind of annoying.
