We booked the hotel from a Hostels website.
We got a room with a double bed for the price of 76 R$ a night (at high season).
The good-
We were looking for a quite cheap room with a double bed.
and when booking the website, we thought this was a hostel of some sort, however this is an hotel.
The room was suprisingly big. I was expecting an average small room. The room has all you need. We had a small bar which was nice with a refrigerator and a small kicthenet (with basic kicthen tools for eating, but not for cooking). You also have a small coffe table, another table for eating with chairs and very nice porch, where you can put a hammock on to relax.
You also have a TV, Refrigerator and Air Conditioning (which is very important).
The bathroom is not too small, with a shower and a toliet.
and the place had really hot running water (which is not always easy to find in Brazil).
The place was very clean and each day there was a cleaning lady who cleaned the room.
The location of the place is somewhere towards the end of Ponta Negra beach.
It is about 4 mins of walking from the beach.
You have many other hotels which are just on top of the beach, where you walk down and get to the beach.
If you mind walking a few minutes, than get another place.
I would rather save the money, as the difference was quite big and this place was really nice.
The bad-
I read a review saying there was a problem of noise from building next to the hotel.
and it is true, they are still building and will probably continue for a while to build next to the hotel.
However the noise was very subtle when I was there, and it didn't bother us.
They charge you 3R$ a night for using the safe in the room.
Other Info -
You can take bus 154 (or others) to go to differenet malls which are quite far. and the bus station is very close to the hotel.
There is a nice Tapioca and bar place about 8 mins of walk from the hotel. You take a right when exiting the hotel, walk to the bus station (4-5 mins walk) and then you need to turn left (a little after the bus station). It's a good place for going out.
