This monument honour the people that fight on a battle around year 1932 when Sao Paulo wanted to separated from the rest of the Brazil! It is huge and worth to stop by. 1 hour is enough.

This sculpture close of Ibirapuera park is designed by the famous Vitor Brecheret. It has became a symbol and post card of Brazil, with 240 granite blocks and was inaugurated in 1954 for the celebrations of the fourth century of the city of São Paulo. This work represents Brazilian pioneers, exposing its various ethnic groups and the effort to build and explore the country. In addition to Portuguese, there are black, mamluks and indians people (with crosses in the neck), pulling a monsoon canoe, used in river expeditions.

This is a famous monument that sits right outside Ibirapuera park in Sao Paulo. It is not exactly a place you would stay for more than 20-30 minutes, I would recommend checking it out and then heading into the park after. Unless you are really close in proximity to the memorial it is not worth going all the way through the traffic and city to see by itself.

It´s not exactly a place to stay for some time, it´s a famous sculpture, that represents part of Sao Paulo HIstory. It´s kind of a mark in the city. Beautiful to be seen in the night too.

Paid a visit here following a visit to the Ibirapuera park. Its only just by Gate 10 and worth the 5 minute walk. Its a pretty impressive piece of work and whilst i saw it in the daylight, i suspect its better to view at night.

You can climb it (I didn't) but there were plenty of people doing so when i visited. Not sure if this is officially allowed incidentally...

All in all, worth a look particularly if you're already visiting the park.
