This monument is one of the cities post card points. It represents a key moment in Brazil's history and is one of those that I had heard about since infancy. The area around it is somewhat busy with main roads, but the nearby Ibirapuera park is very pleasant.

The huge monument made of 240 granite bricks, weighing 50 tons each! The monument put side by side the Brazil's ethnic diversity! A beautiful sculpture created and built by Victor Brecheret!

After walking through the park on the way to Paulista I came across this monument at the exit. Very impressive and excellent design which I believe commemorates many things about the culture, history and diversity of São Paulo. Worth taking 15 minutes to walk around and take some pictures

Its nothing really special but if you visit Ibirapuera Park, its very close to it, so it worths to take a look, specially around sunset.

This monument honour the people that fight on a battle around year 1932 when Sao Paulo wanted to separated from the rest of the Brazil! It is huge and worth to stop by. 1 hour is enough.
